Wow. Today was pretty intense with P90X. Today was Kenpo X day with my pal Tony. Horton, that is.
You don't really do a "warm-up" per se, you do a lot of stretching and yoga moves, which does warm you up, but it's not a typical warm-up. You might want to do some jumping jacks or jog in place for a few minutes before the video starts.
After the stretching and flexibility moves, Tony and crew get right into it with 50 minutes of punches, kicks, and blocks (and combinations thereof). Each block is divided by a "rest" period - but don't think you're getting a sit-down break, oh no. No way - Tony's idea of "rest" is jogging in place, skip rope, and jumping jacks. Yeah.
I must admit that I was soaked by the end of this workout. It's fabulous.
Tomorrow is my rest day/stretch day. I'll probably do the stretch video since my flexibility is so horrible these days.
Hope everyone is staying warm and dry! Most of southern Ontario (as well as the northern US states) is under either a blizzard or severe storm warning and it started snowing here a couple of hours ago. I haven't looked outside lately but it didn't seem that bad an hour ago.
That's it for me tonight, I will post regarding the stretch video.
Get fit!
Don't just survive - thrive!
